Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for there is the kingdom of heaven

Due to some security reason I could not disclose my name; I
am 36 year old male from Pakistan. I belong from a Muslim fundamental
family of Pakistan, but I thanks God for his miracle which turned my
life toward Christianity.

In 1983 when I was 15 year old I got chance for study of Holy Bible
from Pakistan Bible Corresponds School. After completing Holy Bible course
I strongly felt, something was missing in me. My inner being was
demanding for something new, I could not sleep for many days due to
revolutionary changes. I became frustrated because I was feeling lonely slowly I
found earth was missing under my feet. Everything was shaking, what
type of changes that was? It is very difficult to explain. In very short
words I can say that I got our Lord Jesus Christ in my life. My whole
life and world changed rapidly.

I asked from many Christian how can I get
baptized? But could not get any affirmative answer I was surprised.
Then one of my Muslim friends told me that according to Muslim law any
Muslim is not allowed to convert to any other religion. If someone does it
they would kill him as per Quranic Law. When some of my fanatic relatives
noticed that I read the Holy Bible they snatched it and they tortured me.
I purchased another Bible, so they socially left me alone.

I use to go regularly to church for Sunday pray. Once in
1984 I was coming out from church one of Christian young man asked me are
you Muslim? I told him everything about me, but he shouted loudly and
people gathered there. They all blamed me why have you come in this church
without baptism. They tortured me beating me very badly in the compound of the
church, but I remain patient because I thought a few Christians did it in
reaction of Muslim’s attitude toward Christians.

For the last 20 years I have been persecuted socially and economically many
times. Muslim fanatic groups attack me, In 28th November,2001 during
the US attack in Afghanistan some Pakistani Taliban kidnapped me and
confined me for one month. While in their illegal custody, they asked me why did you
converted to Christianity. They wanted to kill me then one of them tolded me
that we need funds for Jehad. If your family pays us then we can release
you otherwise we have authority from God to kill you. During confinement
they compelled me at gun-point to pray five times as per Muslim law.

My parents reported this to the Police but the police could not help for my release.
My captors demanded three hundred thousands rupees donation for
the Taliban so my elder brother paid ransom and they released me.

Now I am married I have my own family wife and two children. I am being
threatened by Pakistani Taliban, still my family and I are at risk but
nothing can shake my belief in Jesus Christ always. This verse give me
courage.

(Matthew 5:10) Blessed are those who are persecuted because of
righteousness, for there is the kingdom of heaven.
