HOW I WAS LIFTED OUT OF CONFUSION
About 2 years ago I converted to Islam not truly having christ in my
life or having a fear of God the structure the religion offered seem best
at the time. I came to know the religion in brooklyn NewYork, away from
home i didn't think it was a major difference from christianity because
it's all I ever known about so I converted took my shahada the Emam had
me recite some words I didn't understand and told me all my sins are
forgiven and to promise to pray 5 times a day and that Muhammad is Allah
slave and messenger. I remember opening up the Quran and and thought to
myself " I wonder what i'ts going to say about Jesus! I was so excited
and when I read it, it said " Jesus Christ Son of mary is no more than
a messenger from Allah" and I thought that's it? So I came to believe
what it said out of fear prayed 5 times a day and did the requirements
but something still felt like it was missing but what? I just never
truly understood the repitition in it all the saying this 33 times
, and saying that 34 times, and if you say this 100 times you'll be
safe from satan, but the fear was so overwhelming you just believe what
it said. When I returned back home to Virginia everyone was surprised
when they saw me I guess they thought i'd gone crazy. But at this point I
felt very secure in what I believed. I went to go pray in my room,and
once I was about to pray my radio just turned on by itself and it was a
song about Jesus. Now I had been gone for 3 months and I never listened
to a christian station and now all of a sudden this song about Jesus
came on! I was stomped i didn't know what to do if i should finish
praying or not. But out of fear I finish the prayer. Slowly people started
talking to me about Christ and telling me how no one can work their way
into heaven but what ever they said i just rejeced it until one day a
lady reminded me of what christ said (John 14:6) "I am the way the truth
and the life. No one comes to the father except through me. And
for some reason that stuck with me so when I went to prayer I just
kept thinking about what she said so i started reading the bible as much
as I could especialy during my cycle because in Islam you're not allowed
to pray on your monthly. So when I went back to prayer something stuck
out of my mind from the Bible "God of Abraham, Isaac, And Jacob. So I
asked the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob to show me the truth, the next
day a whole lot of christians started coming to me back after back but
right after a christian a muslim would come and it just kept happening
like that all day christian-Muslim, Christian -Muslim and I thought
what is going on here I felt as though I was in a spiritual war one day I
would be a Christian and the next day a Muslim and I thought WHAT IS
THE TRUTH! Once I got one question answered another would come like: Why
do I need Christ BLood? Why does it matter how many times a say
something? If christ is just a prophet why was he born of the Holy spiri
t? Just so God can confuse us? Every other prophet came from man and
woman so why was Christ different? Then it hit me HOLY SPIRIT! What does
holy spirit mean I truly did not know what the Holy spirit was or what
it meant so I started researching "The spirit of truth, The counselor,
Teacher. O.k. i got that part now why did I need his blood? I started
going to church and i accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior but i
stll had doubt i know i needed hid Blood but i didn't understand why
then i started to read the bible more Leviticus (17:11)'For the life of
the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you upon the altar to
make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood that makes
atonement for the soul'. Then things started to be revealed to me. Then i
Remember reading once (Romans 6:23) For the wages of sin is death, but the
gift of God is eternal life in jesus christ our Lord. So when we sin we
are dead to having life what then could bring us back to life? BL
OOD!,Who's blood the blood of Jesus Christ! But why his blood? well
Jesus was without speckle or Flaw just like the sin sacrafices of lambs
they use to offer on the altar. So why couldn't they just keep using the
same sacrafices? Sin got so great that a animal couldn't cover our sins
anymore we needed the ultimate sacrafice JESUS CHRIST because he came
directly from the Father's Spirit since he was not from man he was free
of sin. Once I realized this more and more things started to make since
that didn't before example if Jesus was perfect why did he curse the
Fig tree when he was hungry? Lesson: The fig tree did not bear any good
fruit and it was in a good season (Matthew 7: 17-19) "Even so, every
good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. " A good tree
cannot bear bad fruit nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. Every tree
that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. So
what does this mean? it means that since the tree did not bear goo
d fruit it never was going to anyway because indeed it was bad. which
relates to us as people we represent the fruit being either good or bad
unless we are made new and BORN AGAIN we we'll remain the same way.Not
only did i have better understanding but I started getting overwhelmed
with new ideas and gifts the first was the key chain idea i wanted a
way to keep powerful verses on me at all times without having to look it
up in the bible and sharing it with other people and certain verses
stuck out for me to put on them and once i started giving them out more
ideas came i even started up my own business called Stef Soul Piece
Designs it's still in progress but i feel so blessed also since then I wrote
about 6-7 songs about
JESUS CHRIST and GOD's goodness. Also iv'e seen God's glory or maybe
just a little of it and how he used me just "sowing a seed" and spreading
God's word can really make a difference in someone's life talk about
the Word as much as possible and He'll make things happen. Iv'e seen
myself how when i pray for someone they will go up and get saved and also
people notice the difference in you as a person how you were before and
afterwards (2 Corinthians 5:17) Therfore, if anyone is in christ, he is
a new creation; old things have passed away; behold,all things have
become new. How can you become this new creature it's easy (Romans 10:9)
That if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in
your heart God raised him from the dead you will be saved. also through
baptism it represents the old you dying (the flesh) and the new you is
alive (the spirit).
(John 3:5) "I tell you the truth, no one can enter the kingdom of
heaven unless he is born of water and spirit. Flesh gives birth to flesh but
the spirit gives birth to spirit. And now I know I have real an very
good relationship with God through Jesus Christ Our Lord and Savoir. God
